Tax Senior
Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Senior to join our tax team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance and advisory projects, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality service to clients. This role requires strong technical expertise and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services, identifying opportunities for tax savings and compliance.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior tax staff, fostering their development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a key contact for tax-related inquiries.
- Stay current on tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients on relevant changes.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide integrated services and solutions to clients.
- Support the firm’s business development efforts by participating in proposals and client meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA designation or progress towards certification.
- 3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and advisory.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
